Providing a storage solution to apartment house tenants

Washington Heights Associates owns and operates apartment houses throughout the state of New Jersey.  The tenants at their Bloomfield, N.J. location requested tenant storage lockers to be located in the basement of their buildings.  Tenants were willing to rent the locker by the year.  Management realized that their investment would be off-set by the rentals.

It was agreed that we would supply and install (10) single tier lockers to start.  Size of each locker was 48" wide x 48" deep x 7'-6" high.  Lockers were placed along a wall so that no backs were required.  The ceiling height was 8'-0" high so we made the lockers 7'-6" high, no tops required.  Lockers are supplied with a hasp for tenant's own lock. 

Cost to supply one row of (10) lockers which included freight and installation was $5,000.00.  ($500.00 for each locker)

Customer will order additional lockers when the first ten are rented.

INDOFF products have been chosen by federal and local government institutions to keep essential equipment organized.  The Navy and Air Force selected our product to design custom storage TA-50 military lockers, which met all of their specific needs.  We offered them a long-lasting solution that improved equipment handling and storage.

For Air Force, we designed an all welded steel TA-50 military locker, which utilized heavy 12 gauge carbon steel angles to frame 13 gauge x 3/4" expanded and flattened metal.  The lockers provided areas for Helmet, Survival Vest, Harness, D-Bag, G-Suit and and G-Vest storage.  Also included in the design was a secure area for storage of personal items.  All lockers were then powder coated in the Squadron color.  Units shipped pre-assembled, which allowed the Air Force to utilize them immediatly.  These extra-tough TA-50 military lockers came with a 5-year warranty.

For the Navy, we designed an all welded "Navy-Seal" locker, which utilized 12 gauge carbon steel angles to frame 13 gauge x 3/4" expanded and flattened metal.  The design would accommodate 8 pairs of boots, a 16" hanger bar for clothing, and a secure area for storage of personal items.  It also featured two hinged doors with padlock hasps for full access to the usable area of the locker.  Shipped fully assembled, each TA-50 military locker was powder coated the colors of "Special Forces".

A unique offering to the new tenants of Liberty Terrace appartments in Jersey City, N.J.

The Liberty Waterfront Urban Renewal Entity contacted me with a requirement to supply and install tenant storage lockers for the recently completed "Liberty Terrace".  These luxury apartments are located on the Hudson River overlooking the New York City skyline.  In addition to the million dollar view, these apartments provide the convenience of accessing New York City by PATH train or ferry.  The space provided for the lockers was used by the general contractor during construction.  It was an irregular room configuration.  The challange was to maximize the number of lockers that would fit in the room considering that there were obstructions such as pipes and low ceiling height in some areas.  I was able to fit 25 single tier lockers in the room.  Size of each locker was 48" wide x 36" deep X 7'-6" high. The management company has made them available to the tenants for storage at a reasonable cost.  The rental fee will help recover the costs associated with the purchase of the lockers.  This was a turnkey project that included unloading, movement of material to site, assembly and installation.  I was told that there will be additional requirements as new apartments and condos are completed.
